Dr. Abdi earned his medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in 2001 and completed urology residency training at Shahid Beheshti Medical University. He has been Fellow of the European Board of Urology since 2009. After relocating to Canada, he completed a combined clinical and research fellowship in urologic oncology at the Vancouver Prostate Centre, University of British Columbia, with a research focus on advanced MRI applications in prostate disease. He subsequently completed his Canadian urology residency at the University of Ottawa and went on to establish the Division of Urology at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. Since 2024, Dr. Abdi has practiced at the William Osler Health System and serves as faculty at Toronto Metropolitan University. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed articles and is a reviewer for several medical journals. During his practice in Iran and Canada, he earned valuable experience in evaluation and management of male infertility, including hormonal assessment, sperm disorders, and fertility preservation, as well as treatment of benign and malignat diseases, and comprehensive urologic care, integrating evidence-based medicine with a patient-centred approach.
